I have been watching Gourd Art videos. They use Makeup Sponges to apply a thin
layer of paint or stain.
I tried applying Chroma-Guilt with a Makeup Sponge. It works great! A lot
better than using your finger. You can apply a thin layer with out getting it into your carved or
burned pattern!
I purchase my Makeup Sponges on Amazon. See above photo. Google

Makeup Sponges Method

Squeeze out Chroma-Guilt on a pallet. Then spread it out with Makeup Sponge.
Get a nice thin layer of Chroma-Guilt on the sponge.
Use the Makeup Sponge to spread a thin layer of Chroma-Guilt on your piece.
Lightly swipe the sponge back and forth. It is easy!
A lot easier than using your finger. No putting on rubber gloves. No globs of Chroma-Guilt on
your finger that get into your carved or burned pattern!
Makeup Sponges allow you to get up close to details with out making a mess. Like getting up
close to the rim around the bowl in the center of the piece in photo.
Note: You should apply (spray on) on a sealer BEFORE applying the Chroma-Guilt. As per Nick
Agar Chroma-Guilt demos, classes and process.
Using a Makeup Sponge is really fast and stress free.
Hint: Use two Chroma-Guilt colors to create some contrast. I dabbed on Saxon Gold over Celtic
Copper.
Note: You should apply (spray on) on a WATER BASED sealer AFTER applying the Chroma-Guilt.

It seems like I get an endless supply of glossy paper pallets in the US mail every day.
Political advertisements work best. I really enjoy painting out the face of politician! 🙂
Note: The country of Ecuador eliminated the Post Office and mail during the Covid pandemic.
It is gone for good! If you want to send postcards home to friends and family this is a big problem.
But, when you think about. No more junk mail! It's not such a crazy idea. I could live happily ever
after if we eliminated the US mail system. In Ecuador they use DHL to send important mail to
people,
