I use change bars on all of my updates. Like the green change bar on the left here. In “Updated” appends look for the change bars to save time.
What is an Update?

I have to add or subtract something (change the content) to quality as an “Update”. Fixing formatting problems, spelling mistakes, etc. does not quality as an “Update”. In most cases, I cross out (strike thru) things rather than subtracting things.

Note: WordPress flags any change, no matter how tiny, to a post as “modified”. I use my own “Updated” flags, rather than WordPress modified flags.
